Iwi the Kiwi

Iwi the Kiwi is a giant seven story Kiwi special shape hot air balloon with New Zealand branding – he is a black balloon with a large silver fern logo.

This unique balloon has the potential to become a New Zealand icon through its appearance at a range of high profile events. The planning for this project has occurred over the past 10 years and we have now turned this excellent idea into a reality. Iwi the Kiwi features a large silver fern and the words “New Zealand” – opposite the fern is a large 23x 23 ft black removable banner especially designed for a new banner to be applied. Iwi has been designed with sponsors and marketing companies in mind. Iwi's unique eye-catching design gets attention for the balloon and for the sponsor's logo

We intend to take Iwi to all the major balloon events in New Zealand and overseas.

A co-ordinated publicity effort will precede Iwi the Kiwi wherever he travels with the aim of achieving maximum media coverage. Filming and photo opportunities will be carefully planned with the media and sponsor in mind.

Iwi the Kiwi will clearly be recognised through its colour and branding as a New Zealand balloon and will be flown by one of New Zealand’s top balloon pilots, Rick Walczak, who has over 30 years of experience in flying corporate balloons.
